A while back on my radio show “Insurance Matters,” we chatted about the high percentage of auto accidents caused by the use of cell phones and texting.
It seems this trend continues as a threat to drivers who use cell phones to chat & text, as well as, those around them.
In a recent survey conducted for an affiliate of AAA, it was determined that those responding to the survey, it was “Do as I say, not do as I do.”
According to this survey “88% feel other drivers talking on the phone is a threat to safety, yet 2/3 admitted to having talked on a cell phone while driving in the last 30 days.
Even though we now have laws prohibiting these activities, there seems to be no change in behavior.
