You bet they can.
One of the “keys” to your business success is the role your supervisors play to carry out the goals and objectives you have set for your organization.
A property trained front-line supervisor can identify and address problems in the workplace and limit the likelihood that you will face an employment legal issue.
In contrast, that untrained supervisor can create all types of legal and financial problems for you.
As you know I have always stressed how a supervisor’s actions affect your operation. To emphasize this I created an eBook, entitled Supervisors: An Achilles Heel? to serve as a resource to manage workplace injuries.
To recognize “Supervisor Month,” the Sacramento Employer Advisory Council, in partnership with EDD, invites you to a workshop to address those issues that occur when you employ an untrained supervisor.
The well-known local professionals conducting this event are Kim Silvers, Jennifer Shaw and Brendan Begley. They will provide you with both the legal and practical methods to help you avoid employment problems.
This event will be held in Sacramento on December 6, 2016 and for those of you out of the area, you will find this to be worth the drive.
Please go to this link for information about the event, and note there is also a segment to train your supervisors to comply with AB1825 Sexual Harassment Training.
I hope you will join me at the Sacramento State Alumni Center on December 6th.
