The answer is: tune into my radio show “Insurance Matters” on Tuesday July 19th at 8 a.m.
My guest Guy Rogers will introduce a service that small employers can use to help employees who are experiencing personal difficulties. Those who have person issues typically bring them to the work place, they become a distraction to their work, their productivity is affected, and they are more prone to injuries to themselves and fellow workers.
Employees in today’s society are facing more Personal Worry than anytime we have seen in many, many years. For examples: home foreclosures, unemployment wage garnishments for child support, credit card debt, medical bills, and marriage troubles, the list goes on and on. People with these worries need an outlet and a resource.
It is important for employees to know that they have a confidential resource for problem solving. Their employer is not a counselor but rather a resource to get to a counselor.
Employers need to stay detached from employee problems become the resource to get counseling the employee needs. It’s not "I feel your pain", it’s "I understand and I have a SOLUTION".
The solution is an Administrative Referral Program.
Listen on Tuesday how this program helps very one involved: the employee, the employee’s family, employer, and the employer’s other staff.
