Meet the Sacramento Employer Advisory Council (SEAC) Chair, Krista Dunzweiler

Krista Dunzweiler becomes the new Chair Person at SEAC to continue the mission of helping and educating employers with Solid, Essential, Accurate, and Competent employment law information.

As an Associate Attorney at Locke Lord LLP in Sacramento, Krista brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the SEAC Board, as well as, to employers throughout California as a practicing employment legal counsel.

She is a graduate of University of the Pacific – McGeorge School of Law.

Krista takes over as Chair Person for Beth West, attorney and shareholder of Weintraub Tobin Law Firm in Sacramento, who will take another position on the SEAC Board.  Beth’s practice focus is employment legal matters and she has greatly contributed to the growth of the SEAC organization.

Be sure to save April 8, 2014 for a practical workshop in Sacramento that will provide employers with a current update to the “Affordable Care Act” (ACA). Additionally, the panel will address how ACA will affect the management and cost of employer’s workers’ compensation insurance.  This is a practical gathering that will allow a lively dialogue so that the attendees will leave with useful and valuable information that they can immediately apply.

SEAC is a non-profit organization made up of members from the business community in the greater Sacramento area. Through its Board of Directors, the organization works in close partnership with the EDD and the California Employer Advisory Council to provide its members with valuable employment law updates and practical human resource guidance for complying with the complex web of federal and state employment laws.

SEAC is unique and different from many other human resource or employer associations, in that it has direct access to the EDD and its services. In fact, an EDD representative sits on SEAC’s Board as a non-voting member. This means that in addition to keeping its members current on federal and state employment law developments, SEAC also provides its members with the opportunity to have personal one-to-one contact with EDD representatives who can assist employers in a variety of ways.
