Navigating Employee Benefits With The “Affordable Care Act”- What Employers Need to Know & How This Will Effect Their Workers’ Comp Costs

The Sacramento Employer Advisory Council invites you to spend the morning with our panel of experts on employee benefits from The Affordable Care Act (ACA) to Workers’ Comp and everything in between. In this informative seminar, you will learn about the final rules for the ACA, the employer shared responsibility mandate, transitional relief that you may be entitled to, waiting periods, fees that must be paid, how to count variable hour employees, exchanges, partial self-funding, skinny health plans, technology, wellness and employer reporting requirements.

We will also dive into the effects of ACA upon the workers’ comp claims process and resulting costs to employer, the big picture of workers’ comp and its interrelationship with other insurance and risk management programs, dealing with the shortage of qualified medical professionals who follow an evidenced based treatment protocol, and what employers need to know to select and maintain an effective relationship with a medical clinic.
